Barnsley Academy for Children offers full day care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years and before and after school care to age 10.

Academy is open Monday through Friday 6:00AM to 6:00PM. We have the longest operating hours of any other local centers.

We are closed all Federal Holidays.

 

Barnsley Academy was founded in October 2012 and opened its doors February 2013.

Barnsley Academy Oxford is located in the historic "Barnsley School" building on the corner of Barnsley Road and Twinhouse Road.  The location has been remodeled to offer a full-service Daycare and Preschool.  

We expanded, opening a second location in Lancaster County. Barnsley Academy of Quarryville opened its doors in April 2015.  Our Quarryville location also offers Half Day Kindergarten with daily Bus Transportation provided to Academy to help working parents who are in need of a full day options close to home.

 

Both locations, boast approx. 2 acres of property with a large playground and grassy areas for our children to enjoy. We offer bike riding and water days for outdoor activities. We provide all the comforts of home and strive to give our smaller setting all the comforts of an in-home feeling for your child.

 

Our Academy is focused on academics and one on one communication with children to promote positive and productive youngsters. We strive to offer a secure and nurturing environment while serving as teachers and caregivers.

-provides included enrichment programs such as Science, Cooking, & Art classes.

-follows a strict security policy in the building and on premises

-offers iPads, laptops and televisions in classroom

-offers activity days and themed family party events

-employs teachers which are first-aid and CPR certified

-follows an advanced learning curriculum teaching your child above age level

-offers one on one daily learning

-teaches goal setting and rewards achievements

-accepts State Childcare Works/Subsidy

Please call to schedule a private tour of our facility. We conduct tours after closing hours or weekends.  We do not allow  "strangers"  to tour our Academy and confuse the children during operating hours. We also do not conduct business related meetings or building repairs during operating hours whenever possible.  Enrolled children's parents are allowed to enter Academy  freely.
